Heavy rain forecast for several parts of Gujarat | Ahmedabad News - Times of India
Ahmedabad: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light to moderate showers for Ahmedabad on Sunday. According to State Emergency Operations Centre data, out of 252 talukas 205 received at least 1mm of rain on Saturday till 8pm.
Dwarka taluka received 62mm, with 55mm from 6am to 10am. It was followed by 61mm in Jambughoda (Panchmahal), 52mm in Prantij (Sabarkantha), 48mm in Lakhpat (Kutch), and 47mm in Porbandar.The state is experiencing the impact of an upper-air cyclonic circulation over Saurashtra and Kutch, an IMD bulletin has said. There are chances of heavy to very heavy rainfall in Kutch and heavy rains in Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Panchmahals, Dahod, Mahisagar, Navsari, Valsad, Porbandar, and Devbhumi Dwarka on Sunday.
