He's a small boy, Davido's father Adeleke teases Dangote at business event
Billionaire businessman Adedeji Adeleke, father of music star Davido, was captured sharing a lighthearted moment with his longtime friend, Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, during a high-profile business event in Lagos.
The elite gathering, held on Wednesday at FirstBank’s new 40-storey headquarters in Eko Atlantic attracted some of Nigeria’s most powerful figures, including Femi Otedola, Dele Momodu, James Ibori and Dangote himself.
In a video shared by Dele Momodu on Thursday, Adeleke was seen jokingly addressing Dangote as his younger brother.
“He is a small boy, Aburo mi ni,” Adeleke playfully said while speaking with Momodu and Ibori.
Dangote, laughing, responded that they are actually the same age, with Adeleke being only a month older.
Adeleke and Dangote have shared a longstanding friendship built on mutual respect.
Beyond their business ties, Dangote also serves as Davido’s godfather.
Notably, when Davido was born, Dangote personally drove him home from the hospital in Atlanta, highlighting their close family connection.
Adeleke was born on March 6, 1957, while Dangote was born on April 10, 1957.
