Harvey Elliott scored to set England on the way to a 3-1 win over Czechia in their opening game of the U21 European Championship.
Liverpool midfielder Elliott netted with a powerful low drive to put the Young Lions – for whom and Tyler Morton also played – ahead shortly before half-time of their first Group B fixture in Slovakia.
Quansah joined Elliott in the starting XI while Morton came off the bench late on for Lee Carsley’s side, who are seeking to retain the trophy they won two years ago.
Jonathan Rowe made it 2-0 to England in the early stages of the second half and, after Czechia had quickly pulled one back through Daniel Fila, Charlie Cresswell headed home to seal the three points for the holders.
Carsley’s team are back in action on Sunday, when they will face Slovenia.
