At the Accra Sports Stadium, Hearts of Oak delivered a convincing 3-1 victory over Accra Lions to keep their strong finish hopes alive.

Enoch Asubonteng gave the Phobians a dream start with a stunning goal in the 12th minute — his first of the season.

Accra Lions clawed their way back through Laurence Setordjie, who equalised with 20 minutes left.

But Hearts responded immediately with two quick goals. Kwesi Asmah restored the lead in the 81st minute before Hamza Issah sealed the win just before full-time.

Despite the victory, Hearts remain 5th with 52 points, while Accra Lions linger in the relegation zone with time running out.

In Bibiani, Asante Kotoko were held to a goalless draw by Bibiani Gold Stars in a fiercely contested match that had everything but goals.

Both sides created chances, with Gold Stars threatening early on, only to be denied by Kotoko defender Henry Ansu.

The Porcupine Warriors pushed harder in the second half but lacked the cutting edge to break the deadlock.

Peter Amidu's long-range effort and Ronald Frimpong’s late strike nearly stole the show, but Kotoko goalkeeper Mohammed Camara pulled off a vital save in the dying minutes.

The result allowed Nations FC to widen their lead at the top, sitting three points ahead of Gold Stars and five above Kotoko.

Aduana FC produced their best performance in recent weeks, thrashing already-relegated Legon Cities 4-0 at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Stadium to secure their top-flight status.

Gideon Boateng broke the deadlock in the 42nd minute, and Elvis Addo made it 2-0 after the interval. Kelvin Obeng added a third before Alex Boakye converted a late penalty to complete the rout.

The win pushes Aduana to 9th on the table, easing relegation fears ahead of crucial fixtures against FC Samartex and Basake Holy Stars.

Legon Cities, already relegated, face a tough end to the season against Hearts of Oak and Dreams FC.

Meanwhile, Medeama SC were awarded a 3-0 walkover victory after Nsoatreman FC officially withdrew from the Ghana Premier League.

With just two games left, Nations FC remain in pole position to win the league, while the fight to avoid relegation continues to grip the bottom half of the table.

Week 33 promises even more drama as the season reaches its thrilling conclusion.
