Gabrielle Union was shimmering on Tuesday’s at the Fashion Trust U.S. Awards 2025 in Los Angeles. The actress wore a plunging dress from Celia Kritharioti’s spring 2025 collection, featuring all-over sequins, beads and crystals dripping in delicate strands from her neckline.
Union’s look was finished with a pair of clear Betzábe sandals and diamond jewelry. She was styled by Thomas Christos, who has dressed her in looks by Burberry, Schiaparelli and Elie Saab before. Christos also works with her stepdaughter Zaya Wade and models Lucky Blue and Nara Smith.
Celia Kritharioti’s spring 2025 collection debuted in Paris on Jan. 28, with a runway show featuring Irina Shayk, Alessandra Ambrosio, Stella Maxwell and Coco Rocha. “Rooted in the striking palette of pink, black, and white, this collection—carrying the legacy of being the oldest couture house in Greece, founded in 1906—is a masterful interplay of contrasts and creativity,” the brand described.
In February, Union attended the 2025 NAACP Image Awards wearing another shimmery design, this time from Monique Lhuillier’s fall 2025 ready-to-wear collection, which was inspired by the glamour and grand architecture of New York City, WWD previously reported. “Returning to New York City for this collection felt like a full-circle moment, taking me back to where I first began showcasing my designs,” Lhuillier told WWD.
The Fashion Trust U.S. (FTUS), a nonprofit organization founded by Tania Fares, hosted its third annual awards ceremony on Tuesday to recognize and support emerging American fashion talent. The initiative provides financial grants up to $200,000 and year-long mentorship programs in partnership with industry leaders like Google Shopping. Key winners at this year’s event included Dani Griffiths, Rachel Scott, Rebecca Zeijdel-Paz, Nana Kwame Adusei and Patrick Taylor. Anthony Vaccarello of Saint Laurent received the inaugural honorary award for shaping fashion and culture.
