Forum on unlocking Ghana's agribusiness potential slated for June 19

The final forum of the 2025 Citi Business Festival is set to take place this Thursday, June 19 at the Alisa Hotel in Accra.

It will focus on the theme:

It will delve into strategies to unlock Ghana’s agricultural potential as a cornerstone for economic resilience, job creation and export diversification.

The Forum is strictly by invitation and follows last week’s insightful discussions on tariff reforms and trade competitiveness.

Confirmed speakers include, Prof. Roger Kanton, Research Scientist, Davis Korboe, President of the Federation of Associations of Ghanaian Exporters (FAGE), William Nettey, Head of Agribusiness at Absa Bank Ghana and Dr. Mavis Owureku-Asare, Food Scientist and CEO of Impact Food Hub.

The forum scheduled for 8:30 a.m., will bring together key stakeholders from agribusiness, finance, academia and policy circles to generate actionable proposals for revitalising Ghana’s agriculture value chain from production to processing and export.

It forms part of the broader agenda of the , a month-long initiative powered by and to drive business innovation and economic transformation.

Later from June 20 to 22, an AgriFair will also be held at the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park.

The AgriFair will assemble producers of various farm produce including crops, livestock and agro-processed products to connect with consumers, retailers and other business prospects.

This year’s festival is held in partnership with and MTN Ghana, with sponsorship from Zonda Tec Ghana.
