Former UNC basketball star Harrison Ingram notches his first career triple-double
Harrison Ingram played only one season in Chapel Hill during the 2023-2024 season and was a part of UNC's journey to the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Tournament before losing to the Alabama Crimson Tide in a nail-biter.
After transferring from Stanford to North Carolina, Ingram recorded 12.2 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 2.2 assists in his short stint. His style of play was game-changing, considering his ability to grab boards, handle the basketball, pass, and shoot threes while standing at 6-foot-5 at 230 pounds.
Ingram, a two-way player, reached his first career triple-double in his last game for the Austin Spurs. The Dallas, Texas native logged in 17 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists.

Imagine if Ingram stuck around for another reason in Chapel Hill? Would the Tar Heels have had a better season? Possibly, but it's something we will never know.
The Spurs are 31-40, 13th in the Western Conference, ahead of the New Orleans Pelicans and the Utah Jazz. However, with Victory Wembanyama out due to injury for the season, bringing Ingram on the roster would not be a bad idea. He could share the floor with former Tar Heels Harrison Barnes and learn from a Hall of Fame coach in Gregg Popovich.
Arguably, the most interesting detail about Ingram's performance is that it was against UNC's all-time rebounder and five-year player Armando Bacot.
Bacot and Ingram shared the frontcourt together underneath Hubert Davis — crashing the glass for rebounds and second chance opportunities.
Considering how this season went for Carolina, it makes you think about how much can change after one offseason and the "what ifs" if certain players decide to give it another shot.
Regardless, the offseason is here for North Carolina and there plenty of moves to be made. General Manager Jim Tanner will have his hands full this summer, and the scene has begun to look different with Elliot Cadeau and Jalen Washington entering the transfer portal.
