The accident involved a white Toyota Liteace bus, bearing the registration number NSR 188 KP, which was carrying a total of 25 passengers, all presumably traveling for various purposes. The bus collided with a blue Daf trailer, identified by its registration number KMC 158 XW, which was stationary, parked along the roadside. The unfortunate positioning of the trailer appears to have been a contributing factor in the severity of the accident.

According to Makama's report, the bus driver lost control of the vehicle, leading to the catastrophic collision with the parked trailer. The impact was devastating, resulting in immediate and severe casualties among the bus's occupants.
