Fog, developing sunshine on tap for Friday before showers, storms arrive for weekend
Out of the next 7 days, Friday will most likely be the nicest day, but there will be some dense fog in parts of Maine.
Another wet weekend is on tap.
Santom's Sky Scale rates Friday as a 7 due to clouds, developing sun, and warmer temps.
Look for some developing sun throughout the day.
Dense fog will start the day off, but some strong seasonable sun should burn off most of the clouds and fog inland.
The coastline (especially Midcoast) could have a tougher time getting out of the fog.
It will creep back in late Friday evening and overnight.
Some sunshine could be present inland by Friday afternoon.
It will be harder for the sun to burn off some low-level clouds towards the coastline though.
Afternoon and evening mountain showers and storms will move in. That chance of showers and storms continues overnight into Saturday.
Friday is the first 8 PM sunset of 2025 and some locations, especially inland could possibly see it.
All eyes are on the weekend at this point.
Saturday will be the coolest day.
We'll start Saturday with clouds and the chance for drizzle in the AM and through mid-day.
Heavy rainfall can be found in southwestern NH.
Showers, inland thunderstorms both become more likely through the afternoon and evening.
Sunshine will attempt to poke out towards the latter half of the weekend and into early next week, but both days will feature a few showers.
Most rain totals will span from 0.25" to 1.5".
