Over the weekend leading up to Donald Trump’s 2025 inauguration on Jan. 20, the styles of Melania Trump, Ivanka Trump, Tiffany Trump, Usha Vance and more friends and family were notable for their carefully curated appearances that highlighted both modern and classic elements.

Melania Trump, the former First Lady, chose outfits that projected a strong aura. At the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery on Jan. 19, she wore a double-breasted black Dior cape-like coat paired with knee-high Christian Louboutin boots, perfect for the solemn event and rainy weather. On Jan. 18 at a reception, she wore a charcoal gray Dior coat and a Dolce & Gabbana white jacquard pantsuit.

Ivanka Trump, joining her family at the wreath-laying ceremony on Jan. 19, chose a camel coat adorned with 3D floral appliqués over a mock turtleneck, paired with black patent leather-capped boots and burgundy gloves. Ahead of her D.C. arrival, she wore a blue belted dress while departing from an airport in West Palm Beach, Fla.

Usha Vance, appearing at a black-tie affair on Jan. 18 with her husband, Vice President-elect JD Vance, wore a custom black velvet Oscar de la Renta gown, featuring floral accents and a sweetheart neckline, and “Curb Your Enthusiasm” actress Cheryl Hines was seen at the same event, opting for a black feathery, off-the-shoulder ensemble. On Jan. 19, Vance chose a white coat dress for her appearance at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery.
