Nawazuddin Siddiqui is one of the promising actors on Hindi cinema. He has been a part of some cult films that include Gangs Of Wasseypur, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Kick and many more. The actor has even appeared in South movies like Petta with Rajinikanth, Saindhav with Venkatesh and Raman Raghav. In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, Nawazuddin Siddiqui opens up about difference between Bollywood and South cinema.

When asked about how he reacts to narrative of South being better than Bollywood, the actor says, “I don’t know ye narrative kaha se aata hai. Achi film achi hoti hai chahe woh kahi se bhi aayi ho. Sab pasand karte hai achi filmon ko. (I don’t know where this narrative comes from. A good film is good, no matter where it comes from. Everyone appreciates good films).”

Further, he also speaks about difference between two industries and shares, “Difference aisa koi khaas nahi but yeh hai ki wo thoda organised hai apni kaafi cheezon ko leke. Hum ab ho rahe hai. Wahan ka superstar bhi bahut hi discipline hota hai jaise ki time pe aana, time se aana yeh saari cheezein hoti hai. Ek yeh baat mujhe bahut achi lagi wahan pe. (There isn’t really a major difference, but yes, they are a bit more organized about a lot of things. We are getting there now. Their superstars are also very disciplined — like arriving on time, being punctual, all those things. That’s something I really liked about them.”

On the work front, the actor recently appeared in Zee5 film Costao which is based on the true story of a resilient custom officer Costao Fernandes. His upcoming projects include Maddock’s Thana which features Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna.
