Everything You Need to Know About Anne Burrell's Final Season Of 'Worst Cooks'
In the wake of Anne Burrell's shocking death, The Food Network is prepping a special tribute with fan-favorite episodes of Worst Cooks in America. But fans of the late, great chef can expect more than just reruns. Her final season of the series is yet to air.
On Monday, the network shared an update on upcoming episodes on social media—including the premiere date, where to watch, and who else will be joining the season.
Here's everything we know so far:
A little over a month after Burrell's tragic death, The Food Network will be airing her final season of Worst Cooks in America. The channel confirmed the premiere date of Monday, July 28, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
The upcoming season, which is officially titled Worst Cooks in America: Talented and Terrible, will showcase "recruits who are professional performers and used to stealing the spotlight, but in the kitchen, they are dishing out disasters," Variety reports. Burrell was joined by new mentor Chef Gabe Bertaccini for the upcoming episodes.
"One thing that I have to say, the love, the authentic love that she had for the contestants, for the cooks, the love that she had to really teach them. She was there to teach them how to cook; it wasn't just a show," Bertaccini told People.
"I learned a different way of hosting a show that goes beyond the entertainment level, but actually goes into connecting with the people on the show on a human level," he continued. "There was the little special thing that Anne had that nobody else has. And that was it. It was really the care that she put into connecting and knowing and getting to know these chefs, and also me."
New episodes of Worst Cooks in America will air on Mondays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The Food Network. They will also be available to stream via HBO Max the next day.
In addition to the new season of Worst Cooks in America, The Food Network is honoring its beloved star starting Wednesday, June 25, with a curated collection of reruns "highlighting [Anne's] extraordinary talent as a chef, competitor, and teacher." The week-long event will include episodes from the iconic series, as well as her appearances on Guy's Grocery Games.
