Consolata Aoko Oduya’s two grandchildren had an outstanding fee balance of KSh 245,000.

Unable to clear the amount, the loving grandmother accompanied her grandkids to school, carrying six chickens.

Photos shared on social media showed Aoko and the two students sitting at the administration block as a man inspected the chickens.

Their plight touched Eric, and he asked for help reaching the family.

"Please help me find this grandmother. If you know her, please send me a message or comment with her number,” he wrote.

On Thursday, May 15, Eric shared an update, saying that he had located the family. A video shared online depicted the philanthropist standing with the grandma and the two students.

She gave him some corn, which he fed to the chickens and unsuccessfully tried catching one.

The boy said he wanted to become a journalist, while the girl said her dream was to become a doctor.

"She gave her only chicken to see her grandchildren succeed. We will pay their fees until they finish university and open a business for them."

The grandmother blessed Eric, saying:

“I am very grateful for coming to help me and my grandchildren. God bless you.”

The students changed into their school uniforms and boarded Eric's vehicle. He accompanied them back to school.

Eric warmly embraced the teachers before speaking to the school administration. The comedian also spoke to the students at the assembly before posing for photos with the excited learners.

“Team Sisi Kwa Sisi, I travelled to Homa Bay to meet our grandmother. She has been supporting her grandchildren for years, and she has accrued arrears for four years. Let us change her life. Let's support her so that she can support them. Send whatever you can to her number on 0716 241 240. I took them back to school by faith,” he wrote.

Kenyans reacted to the video by saying:
