The latest beneficiary of the initiative could be a bright student from Nyakach who was on the verge of dropping out of school due to financial constraints.

Ballola Onyango, a bright young man, first captured the attention of his community in 2021 when he achieved an impressive 381 marks in the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exams.

His exceptional performance at Onwang’o Primary School earned him a spot at Kanga High School, one of the country's top-performing national schools.

However, despite his academic potential, Ballola's dream of continuing his education was interrupted by his inability to cover his school fees.

Domoline Adhiambo, Ballola’s aunt, explained to that the family’s financial assistance proved unsustainable, and the burden of tuition and other school expenses became too much to handle.

As a result, Ballola was forced to leave school, and he is currently staying at home, with his academic future hanging in the balance.

His potential is clear, but without financial support, his dreams of a bright future seemed unattainable.

After shared Ballola’s story, it caught the attention of Eric Omondi, who has been dedicated to helping those in need through his philanthropic Sisi Kwa Sisi initiative.

Moved by Ballola’s plight, Eric launched a social media campaign to locate Onyango’s family in order to assist with raising funds for his school fees and to ensure he could return to school.

Eric posted a heartfelt message on his social media:

“One day education will be free in this Country… One day. Please help me find him or his Guardian’s number so we can send him back to school soon. I’m told he is from Kanga High School Nyakach. His name is Ballola Onyango.”

His emotional appeal reached many, and the response was swift.

Eric successfully connected with the family, andconfirmed that he reached out directly to discuss the challenges Ballola has faced.

Eric is now working on organising a fundraising campaign to help secure the necessary school fees for Ballola’s return to Kanga High School.

Eric’s usual approach to philanthropy involves directly engaging with his online followers to contribute to causes he supports.

He often shares family contact details and asks his fans to contribute financially to support those in need.

His efforts have had a great impact on the lives of many in Kenya.
