Epic Games Store is giving away Limbo and Tiny Tina's Wonderland for free this week
This week the Epic Games Store is giving away two games for free again: Limbo, an older title which is still considered one of the pinnacles of its genre, and Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, a Borderlands universe offering which has recently seen some controversy.
Limbo is a much older game, but it’s still considered one of the best puzzle platformers by people who enjoy the genre. It’s not hard to see why — from the gameplay to the vibes, every inch of this game is completely impeccable. It is deeply creepy and unsettling, despite being entirely in black and white, and the penalty for failure is often a graphically gory end to existence for the little boy trying to save his sister.
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is a fantasy-based shooter, which sounds like an odd combination — dragons and machine guns — until you remember the Tiny Tina of it all. It’s one of those shooters which is gleeful in the amount of carnage it unapologetically wreaks.
However, this one is a little controversial, because some alterations to the EULA have changed relatively recently, which allows for both some degree of monitoring your PC (nominally to scan for cheats — though this also includes stuff like modding to be able to use an ‘over the shoulder’ 3rd person perspective) and also personal data collection that many users find invasive. So, just be aware of that before you download and agree to the EULA — though, picking it up on the store, you don’t really have to agree to anything.
