For Independence Day 2025, Chicagoland residents are celebrating with tons of Fourth of July fireworks displays and fun events – all you have to do is find the right one for you and your family.

Ever since I can remember, my parents took me to see my hometown fireworks and I always do the same with my son, Jordan. We try to make it to a few different fireworks displays because there are always fun activities at the events beforehand.

The parade starts at 95th and Springfield, proceeds east to Richmond, and ends at 91st. Fireworks will follow at dusk.

Celebrate Fourth of July with the family at Fireman’s Park. There will be a carnival, live music, raffles, food, beer tent, Bingo and more.

Enjoy free entertainment at this annual. Also, a carnival, beer tent, food and more.

Join the city of Aurora for their annual firework show with the theme, “City of Lights” this year. Best viewing is at McCullough Park and Aurora Transportation Center, where there will be a DJ and food trucks.

Check out Roselle’s traditional free fireworks show at Lake Park High School West Campus. The annual fireworks display also includes live music and food trucks.

The route of the parade begins Dixie Highway south to Ridge Road and east to the Izaak Walton Preserve. Post-parade activities include games, entertainment and delicious summer fare.

The day will begin at 11 a.m. with the parade and feature floats, community groups, marching bands and kids on decorated bikes and scooters. Afterwards, there will be a free festival with performances, lawn games, face painting, a magician, bounce houses and much more.

Join the museum for their Fourth of July event featuring community-serving organizations, take part in art workshops and more.

Downtown Glen Ellyn will host their 4th of July Parade at noon with music, floats and American pride. Later in the evening, head to Lake Ellyn Park to see their fireworks display at dusk.

Join the Fourth of July celebrations with a bike parade, live music, food vendors, fireworks and more.

Families can celebrate Independence Day at Centennial Park West with a pet and kids bike parade, a concert featuring In The Stix and 90s Pop Nation and then the presentation of colors and fireworks. Bring lawn chairs, snacks, beverages and a blanket.

This event features musical entertainment and a firework display on the North Shore, set to patriotic music.
