Emergency movie box office prediction day 3: Emergency, which hit the screens on January 17, opened to a decent response and collected Rs 2.5 crore on the first day. It then witnesses some growth on its first Saturday. Emergency is expected to continue its run and put up decent numbers today, January 19. The political drama was released alongside Ajay Devgn’s Azaad.

Emergency set to pack a punch

Kangana Ranaut is in the limelight because of her latest film Emergency, which collected Rs nearly Rs 6 crore in its first two days. According to Ramesh Bala, the film is set to witness growth today and rake in around Rs 5 crore at the Indian box office.

“Emergency is set to nett Rs 5 crore in India today,” he told Indiatimes.

The film has received mixed reviews with critics lauding Kangana Ranaut’s performance but complaining about the execution. However, going by these estimates, the actress' popularity has helped Emergency rise above the mixed word-of-mouth. The Queen star’s second film as a director also benefitted from the dull response to Azaad. Emergency’s fate will eventually depend on whether it is able to stay stable over the weekdays.
