NEW DELHI: An earthquake of magnitude 4.2 on Richter Scale jolted Tibet on Tuesday afternoon, according to
national center for seismology
.
The earthquake with depth of 5km hit the region at 2.44 pm.
"EQ of M: 4.2, On: 04/03/2025 14:44:28 IST, Lat: 28.28 N, Long: 87.56 E, Depth: 5 Km, Location: Tibet," national center for seismology wrote in a post on X.
Prior to this, another earthquake of magnitude 4.2 hit Afghanistan at 2 pm today with a depth of 10 km.
"EQ of M: 4.2, On: 04/03/2025 14:00:46 IST, Lat: 36.43 N, Long: 71.32 E, Depth: 10 Km, Location: Afghanistan," NCS said in a post on X.
