Duke Makes Historic Jon Scheyer Announcement Before ACC Tournament
Jon Scheyer and the Duke Blue Devils recently capped off the regular season as the No. 1 seed in the ACC.
Duke finished the season with a 28-3 record and a 19-1 mark in ACC play. They capped off the year with an 82-69 win over the North Carolina Tar Heels.
Following the win over the Tar Heels, Duke's official social media account posted news regarding Scheyer, who's been at the helm of the Blue Devils for three seasons.
Scheyer now holds the record for the most wins in his first three seasons of any coach in ACC history (82). The previous record was held by North Carolina head coach Bill Guthridge (80) from 1998 to 2000.

Scheyer took over as the Blue Devils' head coach with immense pressure.
The former Duke basketball player was succeeding legendary college basketball head coach Mike Krzyzewski, who led the Blue Devils to 13 regular-season championships, 15 ACC tournament championships and five national titles from 1980 to 2022.
Scheyer and the Blue Devils will now prepare for the ACC Tournament as the No. 1 seed in the conference. Duke will have a bye in the first two rounds of the conference tournament, set to play their first game on March 13 in the quarterfinals.
