Dubai: The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has issued a traffic advisory for the 29th Dubai World Cup at Meydan Racecourse on Saturday, April 5. With a large crowd expected, the RTA has introduced several measures to ensure smooth travel and efficient transportation options.

To ease parking congestion, the RTA is providing an additional 5,000 parking spaces opposite the Dubai Falcon Hospital in Zaabeel. Visitors who park in this area will have access to complimentary shuttle buses offering direct transport to Meydan Racecourse.

In addition, 6,400 parking spots are available at Meydan Racecourse, with clear signage to direct drivers to available spaces.

To reduce traffic, the RTA strongly encourages attendees to use public transport. Public buses will run dedicated routes to the racecourse starting at 11:00am. Taxis will also be available throughout Dubai for those preferring direct service.

For those parking at Dubai Falcon Hospital, free shuttle buses will operate to ensure smooth and easy transit to and from the racecourse.

With the large number of visitors expected, traffic congestion around Meydan Racecourse is anticipated. Motorists are advised to plan their journeys in advance and allow extra time for travel.

The Shail app is recommended for real-time traffic updates, providing essential information on road conditions, alternative routes, and estimated travel times.

  • From Al Ain via Dubai-Al Ain Road: Take Exit 7, follow Nad Al Sheba signs, and proceed to Al Meydan Road (D69).

Taxis will drop off and pick up passengers at the Gate B ramp of the Meydan Grandstand.

The Dubai World Cup is one of the most prestigious horse races globally, offering a total prize purse of $30.5 million across nine elite races. Hosted by the Dubai Racing Club, the event brings together the world’s top horses, jockeys, and trainers.

Now in its 29th edition, the Dubai World Cup blends world-class racing with fashion, live music, entertainment, and spectacular fireworks. The event also features The Style Stakes and a closing concert with international artists, making it a major highlight on Dubai’s social calendar.
