Police Inspector General Douglas Kanja revealed the investigations conclusively absolved the police of the accusations in the alleged disappearance.
In his narration, Kanja shared that Koimburi had been in cahoots with his associates, with whom they planned the fake abduction with a supposed object of painting the police in a bad light and perhaps to evade arrest, as he was to be apprehended on the day he disappeared.
The police boss announced three more people had been arrested in connection with the incident.
They are Peter Kiratu, who is the Juja CDF chairman, Cyrus Kieru Muhia; and Karanja Gatana.
Kiratu revealed that he had attended a church service with Koimburi on Sunday, May 25, when the said abduction happened.
"Kiratu attended a church service at Full Gospel Church, Mugutha, with the MP. As they were leaving, a silver Subaru Forester Reg. KBP 096W approached the main entrance, and two heavily built men bundled the MP into the vehicle. He reported the incident at Mugutha Police Station," partly read Kanja's statement seen by
On the morning he was found in the coffee farm, Koimburi had spent the previous night in a hotel with his supposed abductors.
The police indicated that he was in the company of his associates, who would later assume the roles of the abductors in the grand scheme.

Koimburi was driven to the hotel and later out of it by one Karanja Gatana, who the police also arrested to aid their probe.
After being dropped at the coffee plantation, Koimburi's allies helped him in tearing his clothes up to create evidence of having been tortured.
"One suspect, Karanja Gatana, has been arrested. Gatana admitted to dropping the MP at a hotel where he had refreshments and spent the night with the two Abductors on 25 May 2025, following the alleged abduction. He added that, on 26 May 2025, while using Kiratu's vehicle, he picked up the MP from the hotel and took him to the scene where they claimed he had been dumped. Before the MP exited the vehicle, he helped him tear his clothes to fake evidence of torture by the alleged abductors," the police said.
Meanwhile, the caretaker of the farm where Koimburi was allegedly dumped denied having seen the MP being dropped there.
The police stated that the farm informed them everything had remained peaceful at the farm, with no signs of activity or disturbances, both before and after the MP was discovered.
Koimburi's family blocked the state investigators from accessing and interrogating him over the matter.
