If you’ve had the chance to explore the food scene at Disney World in Orlando, Florida, you’ll know why it’s such a revered experience. From Mickey-shaped waffles and ice-cream bars to popcorn and churros—not to mention the around-the-world dishes exclusive to Epcot or the meal-of-a-lifetime dining excursions—there’s a little Disney magic in every bite for parkgoers of all ages. But there’s one iconic treat that tends to stand above all else—a dessert that folks venture all the way down to Florida to experience. It’s hard to get much better than creamy, frosty Dole Whip.
In 2023, with the hope of bringing the beloved pineapple dessert to more fans, Dole Whip launched a freezer-aisle version that, admittedly, fell a bit flat. It never came close to the soft-swirled original treat, diehard Dole Whip fans claimed; it had an icier texture, lackluster flavor, and dull "gray-ish" color. “Stay away!” one Reddit thread warned. Take out the magic of enjoying it at the Happiest Place on Earth, and those hard, sorbet-like cups really missed the mark for many Disney fans.

Two years later, after taking customer feedback into account and working hard to revamp the formula, there’s an all-new Dole Whip recipe coming to a freezer near you. “We worked hard to deliver a recipe that captures the flavor and texture people expect from Dole Whip,” said Orzse Hodi, President of Dole Packaged Foods US. “Now, we are bringing Dole Whip to freezers everywhere for fans to enjoy anytime, anywhere, bringing a little joy to everyday moments.”
Available in two refreshing flavors, Pineapple and Mango, the new Dole Whip has fruit purée as its first ingredient for a velvety smooth texture. Plus, it’s totally dairy- and gluten-free. The new-and-improved Dole Whip comes in single-serving 3.6-ounce cups that are now available to soothe your sweet tooth—or post-Disney depression—in four-packs at select retailers ($6.99) and eight-packs at Costco.
