Does 'Jurassic World Rebirth' Have a Post-Credits Scene?
It’s July 2, and today is the day Jurassic World Rebirth hits theatres. So, if you’re the type to wait until the very last second, hoping for a post-credits surprise, you might wanna go through this article before entering the theaters.
Set five years after Jurassic World Dominion, this new chapter takes us to the mysterious island of Ile Saint-Hubert. It’s crawling with mutated dinosaurs and some serious top-secret drama. Starring big names like Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, and Jonathan Bailey, this film is clearly setting up something bigger.
But the real question is: should you stay seated or make a break for the exit? After Marvel made post-credit scenes a trend, and even Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom threw in a little something at the end, there was a possibility that Jurassic World Rebirth might include one as well. But did they?
Jurassic World Rebirth is finally arriving in theaters, and fans are already buzzing with questions. Chief among them—should you stay glued to your seat after the final scene, or is it safe to exit before the credits roll? If you’re hoping for a last-minute surprise in this sixth installment, you’re not alone.

This new chapter in the franchise picks up five years after Jurassic World Dominion and drops us on Ile Saint-Hubert—a secretive island filled with secret labs, mutated dinosaurs, and shady experiments. Featuring Hollywood heavyweights like Scarlett Johansson and Mahershala Ali, this film is setting up the next big thing for the franchise.
The synopsis reads, via Universal Pictures,
Five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, the planet’s ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs. Those remaining exist in isolated equatorial environments with climates resembling the one in which they once thrived.
The three most colossal creatures across land, sea, and air within that tropical biosphere hold, in their DNA, the key to a drug that will bring miraculous life-saving benefits to humankind.
So, when it comes to big franchises, post-credit scenes are kind of a tradition now—even Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom tossed in a quick scene after the credits. So fans are right to expect something at the end of Rebirth. But sadly, the film wraps up clean. It has been confirmed that there is no post-credits scene attached to Jurassic World Rebirth.
According to SlashFilm, Universal and director Gareth Edwards didn’t feel the need to add an extra scene of some kind by the end of the film. Since Jurassic World Rebirth is leaning into horror vibes rather than being purely action-oriented, it says everything that it has to say before the credits roll.
Now, let’s be real—it’s not quite surprising that Jurassic World Rebirth doesn’t include a post-credits scene, considering the franchise’s track record. Remember, how the first four Jurassic movies ended without any extra scenes, and the only exception was the fifth installment, Fallen Kingdom, to include a post-credits scene?

But, just because it was kinda expected, it doesn’t mean that leaving out a post-credit scene in Jurassic World Rebirth wasn’t a bummer. After all, this movie is supposed to reboot the franchise, introduce a fresh cast, and plant the seeds for future chaos. So why not drop a 30-second tease to create hype for what’s next?
Sure, most Jurassic films haven’t had post-credit scenes, but times have changed. Now, post-credit scenes aren’t just fun—they’re expected. Even Fallen Kingdom gave us that eerie ending of dinosaurs invading the real world—and it had everyone talking. So now it seems that director Gareth Edwards played it safe with Rebirth.
Choosing to keep things classic, and thus skipping a post-credit scene, Edwards turned Rebirth into a missed opportunity. While a post-credit scene could’ve teased returning legacy characters, hinted at the next big threat—Jurassic World Rebirth chose to keep fans high and dry. So, for a film built on suspense and surprises, they definitely missed a golden chance.
is currently running at US theaters.
