Developer urges investors to explore opportunities in new project

Eko Development Company, the promoters of ambitious Azuri towers located in Eko Atlantic City, has charged investors to explore opportunities offered by the high-rise project.

The Azuri Towers is an ultra-luxury project occupying a total 27,000 sqm, situated in the Marina District of the city, and offering a mixed-use development model of work-live and play.

The three towers project, comprising a 33-floor, 29-floor residential and 32-floor commercial building, offers investors scenic views of the Eko Atlantic City Marina, Atlantic Ocean and Victoria Island, as well as Tarkwa Bay.

The residential towers boast of magnificent villas and collection of three, four-bedroom luxury and super luxury apartments, townhouses, and penthouses designed by United States-based architecture firm, Gensler, while ITB Nigeria Limited is the main contractor.

Amenities include integrated air conditioning systems, squash court, gym, club house, rooftop garden, children play area, and access to Marina which berths up to 350 yachts. Others are shopping outlets including mini-marts, swimming pool, sauna, parking bays, restaurant and an independent power plant.

Speaking during a media tour of the project, the company’s Head Business Development, Mr Adedapo Macaulay, said the Azuri towers offer store of value, capital growth, and rental yield while the location makes it a choice real estate asset.

Macaulay disclosed that the occupancy rate is currently about 30 per cent. However, he said, about 64 per cent of the flats have been sold. He urged investors to take advantage of the remaining space.

He explained that apartments in the Azuri Towers are from the 6th floor up to the 32nd floor, “From this elevation, residents can take beautiful and serene visage perspectives of the water bodies from their bedrooms, bathrooms, living rooms and the kitchens.

“The fifth-floor podium is about 8,000 square metres play area. There are four levels of residential parking serving the residential side of Azuri Towers.

Annex car park serves the office tower; the annexe provides seven floors of parking space. It also houses retail stores on the ground floor and lofts overlooking the Marina.

“The annexe car park also houses the Marina Club. The 5th floor is a communal area housing amenities such as an Olympic-sized swimming pool, kids’ pool, sauna, game room, tower clubhouses, and children’s playroom with a central playground.”

The Managing Director, Eko Development Company, Mrs Erejuwa Gbadebo, said progress has been made over the years on the development with particular focus on quality delivery. She pointed out that the Azuri project is a beautiful concept by the developers of the Eko Atlantic City.

Gbadebo, who is an architect, said, “Eko Atlantic City is a reclamation of land and a protection of the shorelines. You can reclaim the land and then do nothing. But what was done here is to reclaim the land and bring in sites and services. We are proud of the city and the Azuri.”
