Africa Tech Summit London Focuses on Investment

The 9th Africa Tech Summit London, scheduled for June 6th, 2025, at the London Stock Exchange, will focus on facilitating access to global capital for African tech ventures. The summit, supported by partners like Amazon Web Services, London Stock Exchange, Fincra, Flutterwave, Tola Mobile, Bank of America, UK Department for Business and Trade, Payaza Africa, Wimbart, and TLP Advisor, is expected to host over 350 investors, founders, and industry leaders. Discussions will center around scaling African ventures globally, navigating current economic challenges, and securing funding.

High-level speakers from organizations such as Helios Investment Partners, Cassava Technologies, Novastar Ventures, Deloitte, Goodwin, and Catalyst Fund will provide insights on capital raising, IPOs, Generative AI, Global Payments, the Web3 Landscape, Digital Identity, Cross-Border Trade, the resurgence of Africa Funding, and future trends. Despite a funding slowdown since 2022, the African startup ecosystem has demonstrated resilience. Startups across the continent raised $343 million last month, marking the second-best April since 2022, according to Africa: The Big Deal. Between January and April 2025, startups raised $803 million, a 43 percent increase from the $563 million raised during the same period last year. Economic uncertainties have created a volatile environment, impacting investment flows, but investor confidence is returning, with over 225 unique investors participating in deals this year. If this trend continues, total funding is projected to exceed 2024 figures.

Andrew Fassnidge, Founder of Africa Tech Summit, stated that while funding may have slowed, the demand for scalable African solutions remains strong. The summit aims to connect ventures with global investors and capital markets at the London Stock Exchange. In a complex economic landscape, the summit seeks to foster bold conversations, real opportunities, and facilitate the movement of capital.

The Africa Tech Summit London investment showcase will feature 13 ventures offering solutions across SAAS, Fintech, Legal, Healthtech, HRTech, Blockchain, Payments, Climatetech, and Cybersecurity. These include:
