Detroit Tigers opener vs Tampa Bay Rays in rain delay - Yahoo Sports
Even in a different state, the Detroit Tigers can't escape the rain.
After having their game with the Pittsburgh Pirates on Wednesday, June 18, postpooned because of weather, the Tigers were scheduled for a doubleheader on Thursday, June 19 . When Thursday rolled around, there was more bad weather in the area, and the first game of the day was delayed 40 minutes to start, and the last game of the day was extended 75 minutes, until late in the night, when pouring rain rolled into Detroit during the ninth inning.
