cloudy weather

conditions on Friday morning, with several areas of the national capital and Noida receiving light showers.

The weather department has predicted a cloudy sky on Friday and Saturday, with thunderstorms and rain. The humidity level at 8.30am stood at 72%.

The maximum temperature is expected to touch 23 degrees Celsius, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The air quality at 9 am was recorded in the moderate category, with an AQI reading of 111, according to the Central Pollution Control Board.
Delhi records warmest February night in 75 years
Delhi experienced its warmest February night in at least 75 years, with the minimum temperature soaring to levels typically observed in early April. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported that Safdarjung recorded a minimum temperature of 19.5°C on Thursday—seven degrees above normal.
This marks the highest February minimum in IMD's records from 1951 to 2025, as data prior to 1951 is not readily available.
Winter has receded early this year, and minimum temperatures for February are on track to be the highest in eight years. Previously, the warmest February night was recorded at 19°C on February 25, 2015, followed by 18.6°C on February 24, 1973. In comparison, Wednesday’s minimum stood at 15.4°C.
Several parts of the city, including Safdarjung, witnessed light rain and drizzle. According to weather experts, a combination of warm easterly winds and persistent cloud cover contributed to the unprecedented rise in nighttime temperatures.
