The FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, has said the FCT Administration is aggressively providing road networks across the city center and satellite towns to ensure even development and enhance food security by ensuring access to farmlands.

The minister also said only 15 percent of the 2025 FCT capital budget is meant for new projects.

The minister, who made the clarification at a media chat, said 85% of the capital budget was dedicated to completing the ongoing projects.

Abuja Metro reports that N1.8 trillion was passed by the National Assembly as 2025 FCT budget.

On whether the FCTA will also focus attention on other sectors of the economy like housing, outside of road construction, the FCT Minister stressed the foundational role of road infrastructure in development.
