If there’s one thing we can count on from Cynthia Erivo, it’s a bold fashion moment. But for the 2025 Grammy Awards, she surprised us—not with a dramatic silhouette or avant-garde detailing—but by simply not wearing black or green.
Instead, the Wicked star stepped onto the red carpet in a custom Louis Vuitton navy jersey gown featuring long sleeves, a plunging neckline, and a surprise sci-fi twist.
Because if you’re anything like me, Nyota Uhura immediately sprang to mind. That silver metallic vinyl bustier layered under the gown? Pure Star Trek energy. I can practically hear the transporter beam activating.
It’s futuristic, sleek, and just the right amount of unexpected. And with her Messika jewels, fresh blue and silver nails, she served up her signature confidence.
While I’m always here for Cynthia’s love of black and green, I have to say, this deep navy look—with its intergalactic twist—was a refreshing change. Maybe the Wicked star was manifesting a little bit of magic for her next role… in a sci-fi epic? Beam me up, Cynthia.
