The appointment of former Bungoma Governor Wycliffe Wangamati as the Chairperson of the Public Service Superannuation Fund Board of Trustees has been revoked by the National Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi.

In an official Gazette notice, CS Mbadi revealed that the former Governor ceased to be the chair effective June 27.

''In exercise of the powers conferred by section 10 (1) (a) of the Public Service Superannuation Scheme Act, as read together with section 51 (1) of the Interpretation and General Provisions Act, the Cabinet Secretary for National Treasury and Economic Planning revokes the appointment of Wycliffe Wafula Wangamati,'' the notice reads in part.

He was appointed by the then National Treasury CS Prof Njuguna Ndung'u, and was to serve for a period of three years.

CS Mbadi did however not reveal the reason behind the revocation of the appointment.

The revocation comes amid many changes in the leadership across different boards in the government. Another CS who made changes is the ICT CS William Kabogo, who appointed two members to the Complaints Commission for three years.

Kabogo appointed Lucy Minayo Lugatia and Anthony Nzau Musau to the boards effective May 25.

Apart from the CSs, Governors across different counties also made different appointments. Busia Governor Paul Otuoma appointed five members to the Busia County Rural and Urban Affordable Housing Committee.

The committee will be chaired by Seth Harrison Wetoyi Adams, with  Christopher Magero Shanyuma, Wilberforce Joe Ochuka, Rose Mulaa Osama, Everlyne Teresiah Mbingi, and Vincent Charles Wanjala as the members.

Otuoma also appointed Peter Khasamule Odima, John Muroki, and Timothy Odhiambo Odende to be the Acting County Executive Committee Member and Chief Officer for Education and Industrial Skills Development and the Acting Chief Officer for Revenue, respectively.

Marsabit County Governor Mohamud Ali appointed Godfrey Godana and Galm Guyo as Chief Officer of Finance and Chief Officer of Revenue and Resource Mobilization, respectively, for a period of three months, effective June 10.

On his part, Vihiga Governor Wilber Ottichilo appointed seven members of the Ad Hoc Committee to consider the recommendations of upgrading  Luanda Town to municipal status.
