The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has linked the suspects to criminal activities, including looting and disturbing the peace of residents and business owners in Kwale and surrounding areas.

The arrests were made during a multi-agency security operation targeting the gangs on Friday.

The DCI identified the suspects as Rajab Hamisi Dele, Aliphan Yusuf, Soud Mwariga Abdalla, Isaya Wanyama Simiyu, Eagan Jason Ndiwa, Ndaro Mzungu Ndaro, Saidi Ali Tengeza, Ali Abdalla Mwagula, Athman Ramadhan Mwachibuyu, Suleiman Mohammed Suleiman, Gilbert Obiero, and Emmanuel Erri.

Authorities have confirmed that interrogations are ongoing, with the suspects in custody providing crucial leads on other gang members still at large.

The DCI further revealed that additional security personnel have been deployed to track down and apprehend the remaining suspects as the crackdown continues.
