Clouds moving overnight
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) – Tonight, high pressure will build into the area from the north. This will allow for some cooler weather to move in. We will see mainly clear skies, as temperatures drop into the low 40s across the area.
As we head into Sunday, high pressure will bring our winds out of the northeast to east. This will bring in more cloud cover to the area. This could trigger a few isolated showers or drizzle near the coast on Sunday. For now I have us with a 20% of rain, but that could change in further updates. Temperatures on Sunday will be much cooler, as we don’t make it out of the 50s. We will also have a pesky northeast breeze because of the wedge. So it may seem a little cooler.
As we head into the new week, a big time warm up is heading our way. High pressure off the southeast coast will set up a Bermuda high type situation will, where will get our winds to shift out of the south. Monday will feature temperatures in the mid 60s to near 70. Monday, through Friday will see high temperatures in the low 70s along the coast to mid to upper 70s in the Pee Dee. It wouldn’t be shock to see temperatures reach 80 by midweek in the Pee Dee. Along the coast, we may have to deal with some sea fog as warmer winds and temperatures interact with the cold ocean temperatures.
As we head towards next weekend, another cold front looks to move through the area. Right now it remains dry. It will knock our temperatures back into the 60s.
