A video of First Daughter Charlene Ruto asking a political activist to cut his speech short has gone viral.

Charlene was in Bomet for a youth summit, Bomet Youth Professionals Summit. The president's daughter was the chief guest.

The 32-year-old has branded herself as a youth champion, empowering young leaders nationwide.

A political activist, Dominick Kelyot, took to the dais to request the first daughter to take the youths to meet President William Ruto.

"I want Charlene to hear. I want her to hear since us Gen Z, we have suffered alot. Charlene, I wanted to say that since you understand Kalenjin, let me speak in our mother tongue. If there is space, you take us to the president.... let me just speak for the Gen Z...," he said before the microphone was taken from him.

Charlene asked the man to cut his speech short, saying she was not there for politicking.

"We have not come here for that. Please stop there. Just stop it at that," Charlene responded.

Her elegance came a week after her mum, First Lady Rachel Ruto, was criticised for her outfit while welcoming the Dutch Royal couple to State House Nairobi.
