The footage begins with two hotel staff at the reception before two women are seen dashing inside, seemingly fleeing from someone.
Moments later, the alleged politician is seen storming in with a knife, pursuing the women through the dining area.
The man chased one of the women into a crowded section, forcing several other patrons to scatter in panic. Some diners stumbled at the entrance in their attempt to escape, while others quickly fled outside.
The suspect then returned to the restaurant, throwing chairs and causing significant disruption before storming out, mimicking the posture of someone marching formally in a legislative assembly.
Restaurant staff were later seen cleaning up the aftermath. The incident has sparked public concern, with some Kenyans speculating that the man could be suffering from mental health issues and expressing sympathy over the apparent breakdown.
Authorities are yet to comment on the matter.

Experts at MedlinePlus recommend practical ways to enhance mental well-being. According to them, maintaining a balanced outlook, practising daily gratitude, and limiting exposure to negative news can improve emotional health.
Physical care—through exercise, sleep, and healthy eating—also boosts mood and reduces stress. Social support is vital, so building strong relationships and engaging in community activities is encouraged.
Meditation, relaxation techniques, and learning coping skills help manage stress effectively. Finding meaning through work, hobbies, or spirituality adds purpose to life.
Lastly, seeking professional help when needed is essential. Therapy and treatment can treat mental health conditions and support long-term recovery.
Meanwhile, another viral CCTV clip captured a boda boda rider losing control and crashing while transporting a woman and her baby in the Subukia area, Nakuru county.
The cause of the accident remains unclear, but the rider quickly recovered and rushed to assist the infant.
He was seen gently picking up the baby, wiping and wrapping it in a shawl with visible concern. The mother, though shaken, stood up moments later to check on the child before taking it from the rider.
