Cast List For Revenge Of The Savage Planet

Published 13 hours ago5 minute read

When looking at the cast list of most video games, you'll almost always be faced with a list of exclusively voice actors, and more recently, motion capture actors as well, and that makes sense given how video games are created. However, Revenge of the Savage Planet stands out from this pattern, with its use of live-action cutscenes.

While there are a handful of voice-over roles in the game, most of the cast roles for Savage Planet are for on-screen actors. Whether it's story-related cutscenes, or one of the many adverts constantly playing on the screens in the Habitat, you're just as likely to see an actor as you are to hear them.

A testament to Revenge of the Savage Planet's dedication to live-action cutscenes, as soon as you start the game, you'll be faced with a cutscene of Alta employee Eva Pedantica explaining your job to you. While it's by no means one of the biggest roles in the game, it defines the first moments of the story.

Pedantica is played by Aviva Sevilla, and it's her first role in a video game. She's most well known for a handful of smaller roles in different movies like a secretary in The Oval or 'Gordo's Woman' in The Right Stuff. Her most prevalent named role is as Caitlin in Christmas with Felicity, perhaps the most cookie-cutter Hallmark-style Christmas movie released.

Once you finally reach the Habitat on Stellaris Prime, you'll immediately be faced with a video message from Alta's unhinged head of HR Mary K Le Faux, informing you that you've lost your job. It's entertaining to watch her grow more and more frustrated the more evidence you dig up on Alta, to the point that she reveals her true identity in the game's final act.

She's played by Catherine Bérubé, a French-Canadian actress who's well-known for acting is some of Quebec's most popular prime time TV shows including Les Jeunes Loups, Toute La Vérité and 19-2. While she hasn't done much work in video games before, she's played Bailey in Outriders, and Elise in Assassin's Creed: Unity.

The most prevalent returning character from the first game, Martin Tweed, former head of Kindred, has had a rough time between the two games. Kindred was bought by Alta, and he's not taken the transition well, so you'll need to help him collect evidence against Alta.

Tweed was played by Adrian Burhop, and he unfortunately passed in 2023 before the game was completely finished. In his time as an actor, he worked on plenty of games, including Far Cry Instincts, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Assassin's Creed 3, Watch Dogs, For Honor, The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan, and of course, Journey to the Savage Planet. While he was able to record most of his on-screen scenes before passing, some of his off-screen voice-over lines were finished by Michael Farkas.

Almost all the problems the main character in Revenge of the Savage Planet face are due to the incompetence of Alta, and a big reason for their incompetence is their greedy and villainous CEO, Gunther Harrison.

The big-headed character is portrayed by French-Canadian actor Vincent Hoss-Desmarais, who's mostly known for his on-screen roles, but he's also acted in a couple of video games as well. He played Olivier in Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, as well as James Wardop in Assassin's Creed: Rogue.

Arguably one of the more grating voices you'll hear throughout the entire game (thanks to the squeaky robotic filter layered over his lines) is the twist villain of SLAPPI. The former toy's AI managed to turn evil in the 100 years it took for you to reach Stellaris Prime, and the twisted robot ended up causing plenty of problems for the main character.

SLAPPI is played by Xiao-Yi Hernan, a relative newcomer to the industry with his first credited role being in 2021. He voiced various characters in Monster Hunter Stories 2 and Avatar Frontiers of Pandora. However, he's likely best known for voicing Takashi Asuma in the English dub of Alice in Borderland.

If you found the default voice of your drone companion a little grating throughout the tutorial for Revenge of the Savage Planet, then no need to worry, since there are two voice options for the robotic companion.

Which tools are truly worth it? Let's find out.

The more masculine voice for EKO was played by Chimwemwe Miller, who has done some smaller roles in front of the camera since he started acting in 2000, but has also done plenty of work in the video game industry. This includes The Graven from Thief, Elias Chikane in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, as well as various voices in the Far Cry and Assassin's Creed series.

The voice you will undoubtedly be hearing the most, no matter which voice setting you choose, will be that of your drone companion, EKO. While you might find the frequency of commentary overbearing at the start, the choice to tone it down as a setting in the Habitat is a great option if you want a more relaxed playthrough.

The default voice for EKO is played by Amber Goldfarb. Like a lot of the cast of Revenge of the Savage Planet, she's done some on-screen work, but has done just as much work in games as well. She has done voice work for almost every Assassin's Creed game since 2, with her most prevalent role being Aveline in Black Flag. As well as voicing Adira in Kena: Bridge of Spirits, she's provided voices for various background characters in Guardians of the Galaxy, The Outer Worlds, and Star Wars Outlaws.
