A family in Kibuk, Kapsokwony, has been thrown into mourning following the death of three loved ones in a devastating incident.

According to a statement issued by the Bungoma deputy governor, Janepher Mbatiany, the fire whose cause is yet to be established, occurred on Saturday morning, June 7.
While paying tribute to the family, Mbatiany identified the victims of the deadly fire as matriarch Everline Maccan and her grandchildren.
"We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Maccan family following the tragic loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time. May the Almighty grant them strength and comfort to endure the pain of this profound loss. May the departed souls rest in eternal peace," her statement read in part.
The fire completely razed the home where the three family members were staying at the time of the incident.
Photos seen byshowed rescue operations going on with a large crowd gathered at the scene, witnessing as events unfolded.
Sirisia Member of Parliament John Waluke also joined the area residents in mourning the demise of members of the Maccan family.
He stated that he was saddened by the tragic news and offered his condolences to the affected family and friends.
"I am deeply saddened by the fire incident that happened in Kibuk, Kapsokwony, that claimed three lives. My heartfelt condolences go to the bereaved family and the entire Mt. Elgon community. Poleni sana," Waluke's statement read.
