Brooke Shields is ready to embrace beach season. And she's made it very clear with her latest social media post. Alongside a carousel of images of Shields rocking a series of bathing suits, she wrote, "Memories from summers past ☀️⛵️," she wrote in the caption. "Happy #FirstDayofSummer! Don’t forget your sunscreen!!"

Shields shared a round-up that included some of her most iconic bathing suit moments from over the years, including shots of herself in a red one-piece and a blue one-piece from various 1980s photoshoots. She also shared a few more recent snaps, including one picture of a yellow one-piece and one of a white bikini.

After modeling bathing suits as a young woman, Shields began to feel self-conscious about her body as she got older. "I was wearing those big bathing suits that had as much fabric as possible," she told People in 2020. But that changed thanks to her daughters. "My daughters were like, 'Mom, it's ridiculous.' It was sort of seeing myself through their eyes and just celebrating things like my butt. Things I just would never want to focus on in my life. Being 55 and saying 'Wait a minute, women over 50 are not done.'"

Since then, Shields has embraced her body and proudly rocked countless bathing suits. To mark her 60th birthday earlier this month, for instance, she donned a black bikini and posed on a hammock.

As she said in 2024 to Allure, she's proud of her body. “My daughters walk in in a bikini and I'm like, ‘hey, I made them!’ As I see [my own] butt hit my calves. But I’m not trying to look like my daughters. I have this opportunity to get to know myself here, and I want to maximize what I have here.”
