Renowned filmmaker and producer Boney Kapoor recently took to Instagram to share moments from his meeting with the Chief Minister of Odisha, Shri Mohan Charan Majhi. The meeting took place during the ongoing Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) in Cuttack, where Kapoor’s team, Bengal Tigers, participated. Actor Arjun Kapoor was also seen accompanying him in the pictures.

Boney Kapoor expressed his gratitude for the Chief Minister’s presence at the event, stating, "Our team Bengal Tigers won the championship last year, this year on home ground Cuttack at the Barabati Stadium sponsored by Eugenix Hair Transplant, we were honored with the Chief Minister of Odisha, Honorable Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, accepting our invitation to be present for the toss of the first match between Bhojpuri Dabanggs and Punjab De Sher."

As the owner of Bengal Tigers, Boney Kapoor also shared details about his team’s performance in the tournament. The team started strong, securing a thrilling victory against Mumbai, marking a promising run. However, despite making it to the semi-finals, they were unable to reach the final match. "We reached the semi-finals but could not make it to the finals, which Punjab De Sher won against Chennai Rhinos," Kapoor added.

This eventful period for Boney Kapoor follows a significant milestone in his career. Just days earlier, Kapoor, in collaboration with Bhutani Infra-backed Bayview Projects, officially took possession of land for the much-anticipated Noida International Film City. This ambitious project, spanning 1,000 acres, will see its first phase developed on 230 acres in Sector 21, along the Yamuna Expressway. The initial phase, with an estimated cost of Rs. 1,510 crore, is expected to be completed within eight years.

Arun Vir Singh, CEO of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), emphasized the progress of the project, stating that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision of an international film city is steadily becoming a reality. Bayview Projects had previously signed a concession agreement with YEIDA on June 27, 2024, marking a crucial step in the development process.
