Bishop Dr Priscilla Otuya, the National President of the United Gospel Churches Association of Nigeria (UGCAN) as well as the President, Global Alliance of Mothers of the Nations for Peace and Development. Bishop Otuya, President, KOGA Faith, Nigeria & USA, and Chairperson, Nigerian American Social Enterprise Forum, recently made a presentation titled, ‘The Unlikely Source of Revelation: Listening to the Enemy’, at a session of the Catalysts Collective Hub held at Leadwood Hotel, Ajah, Lagos. brings an excerpt:

In the grand tapestry of life, there exist unlikely threads that weave together to form a beautiful narrative. One such thread is the enemy’s testimony, a source of revelation that can be both startling and profound.

It is a little known truth that our enemies often possess a peculiar insight into the workings of God. They seem to have an uncanny awareness of what God is doing or about to do in our lives. This knowledge drives them to the brink of madness, fueling their frustration and anger.

As a result, they lash out at us, picking fights and stirring up conflict. But, what if we were to view these attacks not as mere obstacles, but as opportunities to glean valuable insight into God’s plans?

By listening to the enemy’s ranting and ravings, we can gain a deeper understanding of what God is doing in our lives. We can discern the whispers of the divine amidst the cacophony of opposition.

It is a counterintuitive approach, to say the least. But, think about it: If the enemy is driven to distraction by God’s plans for us, then perhaps we should pay attention to their tantrums. For in their frantic attempts to thwart God’s will, they may inadvertently reveal the very things that God is seeking to accomplish in our lives.

So, the next time the enemy comes against you, do not just defend yourself – listen. Listen to the whispers of frustration, the snarls of anger, and the taunts of despair. For in those moments, you may just catch a glimpse of God’s glorious plan unfolding
