Some people in the comment section protested that the money was too little and that Kiengei should have done better than that given his position. However, fellow Kenyans blasted them, saying that the money was good enough.

In another story, bishop Kiengei gave KSh 3000 to Purity Kahore from Murang’a after learning about her struggles.
Purity had requested Kiengei to help her son find a job, and he promised to share the heartfelt plea on his radio show.
Also present was Former Kiambu governor Ferdinand Waititu, who joined the encounter, and Kiengei encouraged him to helped assist Purity’s son.
