Big 12 Conference Dominating SEC and Big Ten in This Statistic

Published 6 days ago1 minute read

While SEC fanboys have tried to plant their flag as the best league in college basketball due to their solid presence in the 2025 NCAA Tournament, one Big 12 statistic puts the rest of college basketball to shame.

The Big 12 Conference is set up for an incredibly bright future over the next few seasons, with seven commitments from Top 20 players in the Class of 2025.

The seven players include BYU’s AJ Dybantsa, Kansas’ Darryn Peterson, Houston’s , Arizona’s , Houston’s , Baylor’s , and Houston’s .

Dybantsa and Peterson currently check in at No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, followed by Cenac at No. 6, Peat at No. 7, Harwell at No. 13, Yessoufou at No. 15, and Flemmings at No. 20.

The breakdown for the remaining 13 prospects is as follows. The ACC leads all conferences (outside of the Big 12) with four Top 20 prospects, followed by the SEC and Big Ten with two each, and the Big East with one. Two prospects remain uncommitted, including (Duke/Tennessee) and Brayden Burries (Arizona/USC).

While prospects alone won’t make a conference the best in the country, when players go to a certain league, it can be a good indication of what’s to come.
