Ishaan Khatter and Bhumi Pednekar’s regal dramedy The Royals was one of the most anticipated shows of the year. Having premiered on Netflix, the show received a lukewarm response from the audience. While the internet was flooded with mixed responses, one thing most of them fixated on was Bhumi’s lips, wondering if she had undergone any procedures. They reportedly speculated so because she was unable to properly deliver her lines. Since the actress is not new to this kind of scrutiny, an old clip of her talking about the same has now gone viral.

In a video, which has resurfaced on the subreddit Bolly Blinds N Gossips, she is seen expressing how she often faces complaints from people about her lips being “too big.” The clip is from her 2017 interview, where she was also joined by Rajkummar Rao and Ayushmann Khurrana. They were in a chat with Anupama Chopra.

While discussing weird things they have heard from people, during the initial stage of their careers, quoted by Hindustan Times, Pednekar said, “You know the most bizarre thing that somebody actually told me was that ‘your lips are too big’. I said since when is that a problem? I mean people pay in lakhs of money to get that done... They can say the most bizarre things. You should just be aware of what you are and not care.” On the other hand, the two actors mentioned that their eyebrows became a hiccup in their careers.

As soon as the clip was posted on the social media platform, netizens flooded the comment section with their thoughts on the viral clip. One wrote, “This aged like milk…..” Another one said, “It's honestly sad to see so many women in the industry destroy themselves with plastic surgeries.” Other one said, “so so sad what's happened to her.”
