Belgium - Andy-Van-Vliet-ex-Gravelines-signs-at-Rostock

Rostock Seawolves (BBL) signed 29-year-old Belgian international 213cm power forward Andy Van Vliet (college: William & Mary) for the upcoming season. He last played at BCM Gravelines Dunkerque in the French Betclic ELITE ProA, where he averaged 6.5ppg and 3.4rpg in 11 games. Van Vliet also had stints with Maroussi B.C. (GBL) in the Greek league, playing 5 games with averages of 4.0ppg, 3.8rpg, and 1.2apg. He briefly played for Trefl (OBL) in the Polish league.
He has been a member of the Belgian international program for some years. Van Vliet has regularly played for the Belgian senior team since 2020 and previously for the U20 National Team in 2015.
He also represented Belgium at the FIBA World Cup 2023 European Qualifiers two years ago. During this event, he scored an average of 3 ppg and had 2.8 rpg.
Van Vliet is a very experienced player. He has played professionally in Greece, Israel (Bnei Van Vlietrtzeliya), Lithuania (Siauliai), and Poland.
He won the Polish League championship title in 2024.
Van Vliet graduated from the College of William & Mary in 2020, and it will be his sixth season in pro basketball. He also played for the University of Wisconsin for 3 years.
