"The sons and daughter i have seen with Elvis. I begged them telling them, I know you people do not like to troule your parents. You usually say you can do it yourselves. You usually call each other and deal with the matter and after is when you come and tell the parents. The est you can do to your parents is just tell them so that they have a know-how if anything goes wrong how do they help you?"
She recalled the time she visited her son in hospital, and she was told that Elvis was going through a six-hour surgery.
The MP said being notified that her son was in surgery was one of the most heartbreaking experiences.
Some leaders had accompanied Elachi to hospital from a Naivasha retreat and
"I think the most painful process in this is when you walk into a hospital and you are told your son is going though surgery of like six hours and you walk into ICU and you are told he is in an induced coma and we had very high hopes. We alked in there we prayed like something adn we told God 'he has to come back."
When she visited her son in the hospital during the weekend, Elachi recalled getting home and praying for six hours nonstop, then releasing him to go to heaven.
"On Saturday, when Father came to look at Elvis, I went home, and that night, I was troubled. I could not sleep, and prayed from 1am to 6am nonstop. I knew Elvis had gone to heaven. On Sunday, I went to church, then came back in at 4pm, then looked at the doctor, and I listened to the words, and I told him, let this young man start weaning out this dru*s, and we realised he is gone. "
. Elachi said that she had to demonstrate strength for the people of her constituency.
