Baylen Dupree Shows Close-Up of Engagement Ring From Colin Dooley | In Touch Weekly
Baylen Out Loud star has given fans a close-up glimpse at her engagement ring from fiancé .
The TLC star, 22, appeared in a video about season 2 of her reality show on the network’s official Instagram on Tuesday, February 25. “Surprising Baylen with some big news,” text over the video read.
The clip switched between a selfie view of Baylen and a third-person recording as she took a FaceTime call from someone, who told her that they received an “urgent call from TLC.” The person told her that season 2 of Baylen Out Loud was officially confirmed, prompting the TikToker to shout, “No, really?!”
Baylen pumped her fist a few times and held her engagement ring-clad hand in front of her face, giving a good look at her huge oval-cut diamond rock.
The reality TV personality, whose show documents her life with Tourette syndrome, announced her engagement to Colin, 21, via TLC’s Instagram on February 11. The network’s post included two black-and-white photos, one of which showed Baylen sitting in front of Colin on a set of steps and leaning back into his arms. In the second snap, the couple sipped out of straws from the same drink, and Baylen’s engagement ring was visible on her finger.
“Congratulations,” the caption read. “Baylen Dupree and her boyfriend, Colin Dooley, have confirmed the news: they’re engaged! Don’t miss the proposal on the new series.”
In a statement to People, Baylen said, “Does this ring make me look engaged? We can’t wait to take you along on this journey — through all the ups, downs and everything in between. But one thing’s for sure, we’re beyond excited for this next chapter of our lives!”
Colin and Baylen met on a dating app in November 2022. The social media star described it as “love at first sight” on Baylen Out Loud, which premiered on TLC on January 13. Meanwhile, Colin revealed that his now-fiancée was transparent about her neurological disorder, which causes Baylen to have uncontrollable physical and verbal “tics,” on her dating profile.
“I didn’t actually know if she was telling the truth or not,” he said. “People make jokes all the time on dating apps.”
Though Colin admitted he “knew nothing” about Tourette syndrome at first, Baylen has gushed about how supportive and helpful her man has been throughout her journey, which began when she was diagnosed just before her 18th birthday in 2020.
“He’s, like, my backbone,” Baylen said in the premiere of her show. “Everything that I do, just being around him helps. He understands me somewhat better than I understand myself a little bit, which is kind of the same way for him. I understand him better [than] he knows himself.”
She continued, “He goes into Target with me. He comes with me into stores because I’m scared to be alone. [He’s] my left and right hand man!”
During the February 11 episode of Baylen Out Loud, Colin told Baylen’s family that he wanted to marry her and had a serious talk with her father, about their future together.
“You’ve said multiple times that I haven’t seen that side of her, where she’s been bedridden, and she’s had to take showers with clothes on and you and [Baylen’s mom] Julie had to give her showers,” he told Allen. “I haven’t seen that side of her, but I’m not leaving her side no matter what. Or leaving when things get tough. She’s my No. 1 priority, and I can promise you I will do everything I can to protect her.”
