Unicaja Malaga (Liga Endesa) agreed terms wit 31-year-old USA ex-international 205cm power forward James Webb III (college: Boise State) for the new season. He last played for Liaoning Flying Leopards in the Chinese CBA league, averaging 8.3ppg and 4.2rpg in 22 games last season, helping them reach the semifinals. Webb also played for Pinar Karsiyaka (BSL) in the Turkish league, putting up impressive stats of 15.3ppg, 6.7rpg, 1.5apg, and 2.0spg in 12 games.
Webb has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016. He was a member of the USA Senior National Team in 2020.
Webb is a very experienced player. He has played professionally in China, Germany (Telekom Baskets), Greece (Larissa BC), Israel (Maccabi Tel Aviv), Turkey, NBA (Brooklyn Nets), Spain (Valencia and UCAM), and NBA G League (Iowa Wolves and Delaware Blue Coats).
Webb won the Israeli Premier League championship title in 2024.
He graduated from Boise State in 2016 and it'll be his tenth season in pro basketball. Webb played also for North Idaho College for 2 years.
