Baltimore weather: Scattered showers, warmer temps set to arrive this weekend
Wet weather is on the way with temperatures warming up over the weekend.
Friday calls for scattered showers, mainly after 3 p.m., with a high near 67. The rain could continue into the evening, mainly before 9 p.m., before turning mostly cloudy with a low around 56, according to the National Weather Service.

The rain is needed as about 98% of Maryland is experiencing some form of drought, according to the U.S. Drought Monitor. Most of the Baltimore metropolitan area — Baltimore City, Baltimore, Anne Arundel, Howard, Carroll and Harford counties — are experiencing severe dry conditions.
Saturday will likely be partly sunny and warmer, with a high near 83 and gusts as high as 22 mph. Saturday night will turn mostly cloudy with a low of 62.
The rain could move back into the area on Sunday, with a high near 78. The wet weather will continue into the evening with a possible thunderstorm and a low of around 61. The chance of precipitation is 50%.
The beginning of the workweek could also be wet, with an 80% chance of precipitation on Monday. Otherwise, it will be mostly warm, with a high of 77 when the Orioles play their home opener against the Red Sox at 3:05 p.m. More showers, and possibly a thunderstorm, are predicted for the evening, mainly before 8 p.m., with a low around 46.
Tuesday will be partly sunny, with a high near 60 and a low around 40.
Wednesday will be partly sunny and cooler with a high near 59 before more showers move into the area in the evening.
