As earlier reported by TUKO.co.ke, BCLB published guidelines that had been issued during the one-month period in which the media was banned from betting advertising.

Media owners and agencies were urged to ensure that gambling ads were approved by BCLB and classified by KFCB before distribution.

The board also banned advertisements from being placed at schools, near religious institutions or places frequented by kids such as like playgrounds or malls.

A hard-hitting rule for the entertainment industry was that the use of celebrities, influencers and content creators in betting ads was banned.

Following the new directives, the Barua hitmaker went on his Instagram to share a video, as he disclosed that BCLB had reached out to him in a letter.

The singer started by pretending to be on a call where he was closing a KSh 10 million bill before confirming that he received the letter.

He thanked the board for their commitment and support to responsible betting.

He also sent a message to his Bahati Bet customers, urging then to "cheza safe" and bet responsibly, also noting that it can be addictive.

In his caption, Bahati noted that he had also committed to being the responsible betting ambassador.

"As the C.E.O and director at www.bahati.bet, I acknowledge your efforts and I commit to be your responsible gaming goodwill ambassador," he wrote.

Bahati's post was followed by mixed reactions from those who supported his message and others who did not feel it was helping in any way.

As earlier reported, Bahati went on social media to announce that his older brother, Kioko, is single.

Sharing a picture of the two looking dapper in semi-official wear, Bahati disclosed that he would want more kids despite already having five.

However, he would like his brother to catch up to him, but the problem is that he is not dating at the moment.

The musician urged single ladies to come forward and 'finish the business' of getting his brother out of the singles market.
