Azumah Resources Denies Black Volta Gold Project Sale

Azumah Resources Ghana Limited has unequivocally disassociated itself from widespread reports and a circulating invitation suggesting its involvement in the purported sale of the Black Volta Gold Project. The company has categorically stated that it has neither sold nor is in the process of selling the project, in whole or in part, to Engineers & Planners Company Limited (E&P) or any other entity.

A specific document, described as an invitation to a “Facility Agreement Signing Ceremony – E&P Acquisition of the Black Volta Gold Project,” scheduled for July 7, 2025, at the Marriott Hotel in Accra, has been declared false and unauthorized by Azumah Resources. The company clarified that its Board of Directors and Executive Management have no knowledge of any such agreement, nor have any discussions taken place with E&P or its affiliates regarding an acquisition.

Azumah Resources firmly reiterated that the Black Volta Gold Project remains 100% owned by the company. Furthermore, it announced that following successful shareholder-backed financing, preparatory works have commenced, and the project is progressing towards full-scale construction activities. This confirms Azumah Resources' unwavering commitment to the development of the Black Volta Gold Project.

The company has urged the general public, stakeholders, and the media to disregard the aforementioned invitation and any related documents, stressing that they do not represent the position or intentions of Azumah Resources. The firm emphasized its focus on delivering the Black Volta Gold Project in line with the highest standards of transparency, professionalism, and national development objectives, while appreciating the continued support from its partners, regulators, host communities, and the people of Ghana.
