Basket Swans Gmunden (BSL) re-signed 33-year old international 181cm guard Daniel Friedrich for two more seasons. He has played there for the last thirteen seasons. Good year as he was voted League Player of the Week (2 times).
He has been also a member of the Austrian international program for some years. Friedrich has regularly played for the Austrian senior team since 2015 and previously for the Under 18 National Team back in 2010.
He also represented Austria at the European Championship (FIBA EuroBasket) U20 Division B in Sofia (Bulgaria) thirteen years ago. During this event he scored an average of 10.2 points per game and had 2.4 rebounds per game.
Friedrich has spent his entire career in Austria playing for three other teams: Arkadia Lions, SKN St. Poelten Basketball and BC Vienna.
Among many awards his team won Austrian Supercup in 2022. He received Eurobasket.com All-Austrian League Player of the Year award back in 2022.
